Virtual DJ Studio (VDJ) is an MP3 Mixer for live DJ performances.

Virtual DJ Studio is not like all of the other DJ programs out there. While other programs limit you to two players with a Cross-Fader, Virtual DJ Studio provides you with an entire studio.

The two-deck metaphor is out-dated. There is no reason to limit yourself when your PC can easily give you so much more.

Live Event dengan Virtual Video Mixer

Untuk membuat live event dengan menggunakan 2 kamera atau lebih, maka kita tentu saja membutuhkan mixer video agar bisa mengatur dengan baik video yang akan kita tampilkan di layar. Mixer video yang ada dipasaran harganya sangat mahal, dan untuk video amatiran seperti saya tentu sangat berat untuk bisa membelinya. Agar bisa menggunakan mixer video dengan murah meriah maka saya mencari-cari software virtual video mixer, yaitu software yang bisa membuat pc kita seolah2 menjadi mixer video.

Akhirnya setelah membaca di beberapa forum, saya menemukan Elektronika Live, sebuah software pengolah video secara live. Diskripsi aslinya seperti ini ” Elektronika live is video software for VJs and live visual performers. it can be used in real time when DJs are playing, or integrated using midi into a live audio/video set. you can also link elektronika to any external midi sequencer and create midi control loops for elektronika using the sequencer which can then be turned on and off during a show”.

Software ini bisa digunakan untuk 8 channel. Dengan live input antara bisa berasal dari firewire ataupun tv tunner. Saya sudah mencoba dengan menggunakan 2 buah tv tuner (menggunakan 2 buah kamera). Dan hasilnya juga cukup memuaskan. Fitur-fitur Elektronika Live antara lain:
- Kita bisa menggunakan efek2 saat perpindahan video
- Menambah text dan gambar secara realtime
- Memainkan video,audio, movie flash yang ada dihardisk

Namun software ini membutuhkan pc yang spesifikasinya cukup tinggi. Dianjurkan menggunakan Dual Core dan ram 2 giga. Saya mencoba dengan menggunakan IP 4 3.0 HT dengan menggunakan ram 1 giga, dan bisa berjalan dengan lancar namun video outputnya ada delay, sekitar kurang dari 1 detik dan semakin lama semakin berat. (mungkin jika menggunakan dual core tidak ada delaynya - atau mungkin tetep ada delaynya hehe).

Sementara masih dicoba-coba, belum dipraktekkan secara langsung, sehingga belum mengetahui kestabilan software ini apabila digunakan dalam live event sebenarnya. Tapi lumayan juga sebagai pengganti hardware video mixer yang harganya selangit.
